1. Acceptance of These Terms

By creating an account or using Chitr (the “Service”), you agree to these Terms of Service and to our Privacy Policy. If you do not agree, please do not use the Service. If you are using Chitr on behalf of an organization, you represent that you are authorized to accept these Terms on its behalf.

2. What Chitr Does

Chitr orchestrates secure transfers of your photos, videos, and albums from your chosen source into your personal Google Photos library. As described in our Privacy Policy, we do not store or retain copies of your media— our worker nodes process transfers in temporary memory and purge media immediately after a job completes. We retain only transfer metadata (file paths, album names, and success status) to power your Transfer History.

3. Your Google Account & Authorization

To use Chitr you sign in with Google and grant a scoped OAuth authorization that lets our backend append media into your Google Photos library. We never receive your Google password, and we request only the access required to perform transfers you initiate.

Chitr’s use and transfer of information received from Google APIs adheres to the Google API Services User Data Policy, including the Limited Use requirements. You can review or revoke Chitr’s access at any time from your Google Account permissions page.

4. Billing

Paid plans are billed on a one time basis through our PCI-compliant payment partner, Stripe. Chitr never collects or stores your card or payment details. Except where required by law, payments are non-refundable.

5. Your Content & Acceptable Use

You retain all ownership of the photos, videos, and other content you transfer with Chitr. We claim no rights over your media. You are responsible for ensuring you have the legal right to transfer the content you select, and you agree not to use Chitr to store or move material that is unlawful, infringing, or that violates the terms of any connected service (including Google and Backblaze). You agree not to misuse, disrupt, reverse-engineer, or attempt to gain unauthorized access to the Service.

6. Availability, Disclaimers & Liability

The Service is provided on an “as is” and “as available” basis. While we work hard to keep transfers reliable, Chitr depends on third-party services (Google, Stripe, and Backblaze) and we do not warrant that the Service will be uninterrupted or error-free. To the maximum extent permitted by law, Chitr shall not be liable for any indirect, incidental, or consequential damages, or for any loss of data arising from your use of the Service. We strongly recommend you retain your own copies of important media.

7. Termination

You may stop using Chitr and revoke its access at any time. We may suspend or terminate access if you violate these Terms or use the Service in a way that risks harm to Chitr, its users, or third-party providers. Sections relating to content ownership, disclaimers, and liability survive termination.

8. Changes to These Terms

We may update these Terms from time to time. When we make material changes, we will update the “Last updated” date above and, where appropriate, notify you. Your continued use of Chitr after changes take effect constitutes acceptance of the revised Terms.
